What is Qurbani?

Qurbani (Udhiyah) is the sacrifice of an animal during Eid ul-Azha, honoring Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah.

Is Qurbani obligatory?

Qurbani is obligatory for every sane, adult Muslim who owns wealth exceeding the Nisab value, which is the equivalent of 612.36g of silver or 87.48g of gold.

When is Qurbani performed?

Qurbani is performed from after the Eid ul-Azha prayer on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah until sunset on the 12th of Dhul Hijjah.

What rewards come from Qurbani?

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said for every hair of the Qurbani animal, you will receive a reward from Allah.

How do you ensure Shariah compliance?

We ensure all animals meet the required age and health standards for sacrifice. Slaughtering is performed by trained professionals following Zabiha guidelines.

What types of animals are offered?

We offer goats, cows, and camels for Qurbani. Shares in larger animals (cows/bulls) are also available

Where is the meat distributed?

Meat is distributed to verified, deserving families across Pakistan, including orphans, widows, and the impoverished, in collaboration with our partner NGOs. Since 2024, meat is also distributed to familied in need in Gaza.

Can I perform Qurbani on behalf of someone else?

Yes, you can perform Qurbani on behalf of others, including deceased family members. Simply provide the name(s) in the ‘Note’ option at checkout.

How do I participate in the Qurbani campaign?

You can donate directly on our website, or via bank transfer or cash deposit (Lahore only). You’ll choose your animal and the number of shares.

What information do I need to provide when registering?

You will need to provide your name, contact details, the number of shares or animals, and the names of those on whose behalf the Qurbani is performed.

Will I receive confirmation of my Qurbani?

Yes, you will receive a confirmation message and a photo update within 3 days of your Qurbani.

Can I specify where my Qurbani is performed or the meat is distributed?

While we aim to serve the most deserving, you can choose from a list of communities on our website. We ensure your sacrifice reaches those in need.

What are the pricing options?

View the options here: Pricing varies for animals in Pakistan and in Gaza owing to the administrative cost incurred in packing and transporting Qurbani meals to Gaza.

What happens to the hides and other by-products?

The proceeds from hides and other by-products feed the hungry at our partner soup kitchens

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes, all donations to our Qurbani campaign are tax-deductible in USA and Pakistan

How is hygiene ensured during the process?

We follow strict hygiene standards during slaughtering, processing, and meat distribution to ensure the highest quality for recipients.

Who is eligible to perform Qurbani?

Qurbani is obligatory for every sane, adult Muslim who meets the Nisab criteria and is not a traveler during the days of Qurbani.

Does a husband and wife both need to perform Qurbani?

If both meet the Nisab criteria, both are obligated to perform Qurbani. Consult with a scholar if you need more guidance.

When is Qurbani performed?

Qurbani is performed from after the Eid ul-Azha prayer on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah until sunset on the 12th of Dhul Hijjah.

Do I need to perform Qurbani for my children?

Qurbani is obligatory for adults meeting the financial criteria. Some parents choose to perform Qurbani on behalf of their children as an act of piety.
