In Pakistan, diabetes affects nearly 20 million people, with 8.5 million remaining undiagnosed. If left unmanaged, diabetes can lead to serious complications, including blindness, kidney failure, amputations, and heart disease. For people from marginalized communities, the cost of lifelong treatment can put even essential medication out of reach, turning a manageable diagnosis into a cycle of disability, financial hardship, and dependency.

A diagnosis that might be manageable for some, becomes a downward spiral into disability, debt, and dependency for others.

Together, we can help turn the tide from disability to dignity!

Through the support of Dilawar Hussain Foundation (DHF), eligible patients can access essential medical care and nutritional support at its three diabetes management centers in Garhi Shahu, Gulberg, and Kasur.

Your generous contribution can help ease the financial burden of treatment and ensure that deserving patients receive the care they need.

Lina, a Palestinian Student Studying in a Pakistani University

“After surviving a year of genocide in Gaza, I fled with part of my family while my father and brothers remained behind, and came to Pakistan to continue my education and honor my father’s dream. Now pursuing an MPhil in Applied Linguistics, I hope to challenge harmful narratives and become a voice for Palestine. Despite financial hardships, the kindness of the Pakistani people and the support of The Resilience Support Program (TRSP) — both personal and financial — have helped me rebuild my life with hope and determination.“
