Azra Bibi is a widow living in a rented house with her family of five which includes her three daughters and two sons. She is a domestic worker which is the basic source of her household income. Her limited income makes it difficult for her to meet the family’s essential household expenditure and provide for her children’s daily needs.

Azra’s three daughters are studying in different classes and are dependent on her for their educational and primary daily life needs. On the other hand, her two sons are struggling with drug addiction and are bound to stay at home. Despite Azra’s repeated efforts to arrange treatment for them, both sons have refused to seek medical attention and do not contribute financially towards the household. Therefore, Azra has to carry the responsibility of supporting the entire family on her limited income.

The family is facing severe financial constraints, and meeting daily routine essentials such as food and household expenses has become increasingly difficult. Zaman Foundation has also previously supported Azra through monthly ration assistance, which has helped her manage the family’s basic necessities.

Azra is now requesting the re-approval of her monthly full-ration assistance. Continued support will help ease the financial burden on her and ensure that she is able to provide basic food necessities to her children despite her financial hardships.
