For privacy and security reasons, the name used below has been changed.

Ahmed is a Palestinian father from Gaza pursuing a PhD at Riphah International University in Islamabad, Pakistan. As part of his PhD, he receives a monthly stipend of PKR 35,000. His tuition, accommodation, and transportation as a student are covered through his PhD program.

Today, Ahmed is raising his three young children alone in Pakistan while the rest of his family—including his wife, parents, brothers, and sisters—remain in Gaza, facing continued uncertainty and hardship. Separated from his family, he carries the responsibility of being both a father and the sole caregiver to his children.

While his PhD covers his own educational and living support, these benefits do not extend to his children. Their food, transportation, school fees, healthcare, clothing, and other daily living expenses must all be managed from his monthly stipend, which is simply not enough to support a family of four.

Unable to keep up with the cost of their current school, Ahmed is now searching for a more affordable option so his children can continue their education while he completes his PhD.

Despite these challenges, Ahmed remains determined to finish his education, believing it is the best path toward a more secure future for his family. With your support, he can focus on completing his PhD without the constant worry of how to provide for his children's everyday needs.

Your generosity can help cover the family's essential living expenses, children's educational expenses, and other unmet needs, giving Ahmed and his children the stability they need during this difficult chapter of their lives. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings them one step closer to a future filled with hope, dignity, and opportunity.

Lina, a Palestinian Student Studying in a Pakistani University

“After surviving a year of genocide in Gaza, I fled with part of my family while my father and brothers remained behind, and came to Pakistan to continue my education and honor my father’s dream. Now pursuing an MPhil in Applied Linguistics, I hope to challenge harmful narratives and become a voice for Palestine. Despite financial hardships, the kindness of the Pakistani people and the support of The Resilience Support Program (TRSP) — both personal and financial — have helped me rebuild my life with hope and determination.“
