Palms Enclave, Gujranwala comprises approximately 500 low-income households, with an estimated population of 1,000 individuals, including 200 elderly people and 500 children. A significant proportion of the community consists of widows and orphaned children, reflecting high socio-economic vulnerability. Due to limited and irregular income sources, many households face ongoing food insecurity, with minimal access to protein-rich nutrition such as meat. Rising inflation and economic pressures have further reduced dietary quality, particularly affecting children’s growth and elderly health outcomes.
Through this Qurbani intervention, we plan to facilitate the sacrifice of four animals, with a structured meat distribution system to ensure equitable access across all identified beneficiaries. The initiative is designed to deliver immediate nutritional support while aligning with culturally significant practices during Eid-ul-Adha. Each distribution cycle will be monitored to ensure transparency, proper allocation, and maximum outreach within the target population.
The intervention is expected to benefit all 1,000 individuals, improving short-term nutritional intake and supporting food equity within the community. This initiative provides an opportunity for institutional partners to contribute to a measurable, community-based food security effort with clear beneficiary targeting and distribution outcomes.
